Your Brain on Video Games

Daphne Bavelier is a brain scientist that is studying the effect of playing violent video games has on theĀ gamer. Contrary to popular notion she claims that videosĀ games can improve the eyesight of the gamer. This she claims is because the eye pays attention to things in finer detail in video games. She does agree with mainstream science that binging video games is bad for ones general health. She also claims that video games can improve the gamers attention span and spatial reasoning. The violent shooter games are especially apt to do this because the quickness of the game forces the gamer to develop very quick reflexes.
